Newcastle Accommodation

We have a wide selection of hotels in and around Newcastle itself, Gateshead over the Tyne (or further afield in Sunderland), with hotel and guesthouse accommodation in both the centre of Newcastle as well as the outer areas of Newcastle. There are Newcastle hotels available in the city centre, in the Quayside , in Jesmond , as well as Osborne Road and the Haymarket. Weekend and city break visitors (and especially stag and hen groups) in Newcastle make hotels and other accommodation very busy at the weekend and as a result, most Newcastle hotels do not offer price discounts for Friday and Saturday nights for you city break visitors. They are just too busy.

Football

Newcastle United (The Magpies), Newcastle's football club and their passionate supporters, play their home games at St. James's Park, which seats about 55,000 people and is in the very centre of town (You can see it from the station as you arrive). With a large number of absolutely passionate supporters (aka The Toon Army), sourcing tickets for The Magpies home games means tickets always have to be booked early.

Other Sporting clubs in the region are: Sunderland Football Club aka The Black Cats who apply their trade at the famous The Stadium of Light, the The Falcons who play up at Kingston Kark and the The Eagles and the The Vipers who both play at the Newcastle Metro Arena.
