The Baja Beach Club is still, after many years the most popular nightclub in the Newcastle area for both the locals and people visiting the city.
Baja Beach Club is on the Gateshead side of the Tyne so you have a generally drunken walk across the swing bridge, but it is well worth the walk.
I am not a big cheese man but Baja has in the past converted me. The club has been transformed into a beach including girls serving you in Bikini's and a huge shark swinging from the ceiling. The Club itself is huge with four major bars and a number of smaller bottle bars. Make sure you take your dancing shoes for their is renditions of classics such as Thriller and other favourites.
Expect huge queues at all times of the night. My suggestion is to have a drink in Buffalo Joes across the road first and then shoot across when the queue goes down.
