The Hancock Museum is managed by Tyne and Wear Museums on behalf of the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
How to Find Us
Hancock Museum
The Hancock Museum is situated in Newcastle City Centre between Barras Bridge and Claremont Road. Public access is via Claremont Road across from the University of Newcastle.
The Museum is a short walk (10 minutes) from the main shopping centre on Northumberland Street. There is limited, free car parking outside the Museum. The nearest Metro station is Haymarket.
For car drivers, take the A167 central motorway (north or south) and follow the yellow AA signs to the Museum.
